COLANDEF facilitating the Mobilization of Queen Mothers for Representation in National Policy Dialogue

The Queen Mothers have been working towards establishing a consultative platform for organizing the representation and voice of Queen Mothers in Ghana. With consistent and dedication, this effort has paid off. With funding support from the Wellspring Philanthropic Fund, COLANDEF has facilitated the establishment and institutional strengthening of the Queen Mothers Platform-Ghana (QMP). This is a legally registered body, representing the platform for convening and engaging with Queen Mothers in Ghana. The Queen Mothers’ Platform -Ghana is made up of all Queen Mothers in Ghana. It has a national leadership and regional leadership in all the 16 regions of Ghana. As we continue working to develop the institutional capacity of this consultative platform for Queen Mothers, we are excited about the engagements already happening.
