Learn about the Land Sector Multistakeholder Platform
Following the National Land Conference in December 2022, the Land Sector Multistakeholder Platform (LSMP) emerged as a functional body entrusted with overseeing the implementation of key recommendations from the conference. Its mandate involves supporting the government in executing the Land Act 2020 (Act 1036) and Spatial Planning Act 2016 (Act 925).
As stakeholders converge, the platform plays a key role in coordinating efforts, by bringing together diverse perspectives and expertise to create an effective land governance system in Ghana.
COLANDEF, as one of the Civil Society Organizations in the Land Sector, played a leading role in advocating for the establishment and adoption of this platform as a working body.
Subsequently, the LSMP was officially inaugurated in July 2023.
